Reason I say size down is because I bought one that's 11.5US and it fits like a size 12, factory defect maybe because It says it's 11.5US but it fits like a 12

The light fabric and terrific headband are exactly what I was looking for in a hot-weather ball cap, this will definitely keep your head as cool as possible while wearing a cap in the sun. But I found the cut of the cap a bit strange...at least for my head. You can adjust the circumference with the back velcro strap, but the hat seems too deep (or tall) for my head. In other words, there is a bunch of fabric left at the top when I put it on...if I pull it down to snug over my head, the sides come down over my ears. I've never had that issue with a ball cap before. Other than that, this is a perfect hot weather ball cap.
