I bought this hat because i live in the south, where it is very hot and humid. Although this hat is lite, it is not cool. The rim is so flimsy it blocks your view, especially from the side. I was mowing my yard and would have to lift the front of the rim up or the wind would push it down in my face. Just not what i thought it would be.

I was really excited to get this hat. I have several Colombia products that I love; in fact the only toque I will wear when I'm out in the winter is Colombia. I wore this hat on three hikes. The first it was a little floppy but I expected that from the reviews. The second it rained so the hat got wet. It was floppier but I figured it wold dry out and return to normal. When dry the top layer of fabric lifted up and bubbled everywhere. This weekend I went backpacking I couldn't tolerate wearing my hat because it got so floppy that the sides were touching my face. Lightweight and easily adjustable! The fabric is soft and the hat wide enough to block the sun's rays without wearing sunglasses and enjoy the kayak ride :)

Fits great, will remain on and provide coverage. Comfortable and cool too.

I bought this hat for work(grounds keeping). The brim is way too floppy. Any time the wind picks up over 10-15 km (which in Calgary is always) the brim blows straight up and is useless. I get better sun protection with a standard baseball cap. At least a baseball cap keeps the sun out of my eyes.
