I usually get the exact number with Columbia - I carry a 43 - but this time 43 was small and so I had to make the return. In any case, the shoe is light, but I wouldn't recommend it for demanding trekking but for quiet walks.

The shoes fit true to size and are really well made overall.
The material makes a robust impression.
The sole is really thick and the profile is good. Overall, the shoes are really comfortable, yet they are not as firm/stable on the ankles and soles as I would have expected.
But absolutely fine for going for a walk and that's what they were bought for in the end.
They are pleasantly light. So I give it 4 stars, I find the price justified
