I love these pants for travel. They transition well to dressing-up or going on a hike. Light weight and great packing pant. I wish they offered more color options.

The fabric is tissue weight that is unsuitable for most activites. The fit of the legs is very poor. There is considerable drag across the back of the thighs and calves, and at the inside of the knees. Yikes! Ugly and uncomfortable. Isn't this stuff covered in fashion design programs? Please do better, Columbia!

In the picture, these look like slimmer/skinny leg fit, but in reality are straight leg which is not what I was looking for. Also, the rise in the back is quite low, making it feel like you want to yank up the pants frequently. I was hoping these were a similar fit to pants I had purchased a few years ago, but they are not.

These are pretty great pants - very versatile - casual, but you can wear them out for the evening. Unfortunately the medium is just a bit snug for me, but the large was too big. Sizing seems to vary by product with Columbia, so I'm never sure without trying on. (I expected to be a Large/Size 12.) I needed them for a trip so I decided to keep them anyway, and I'm satisfied that I did. I wore them out to dinner two nights and traveling back home and with the stretch in the fabric I was still comfortable.
