I had great luck with the Outdry PeakFreaks but they appear to be discontinued so I gave these a shot since wide sizes are available. I've always had a great experience with Oudry shoes but these were very much not waterproof and I will be returning them. Outdry is fantastic but they don't have wide sizes.

It has to be that the material is subpar, and/or the design is not proper. Shoe bursted on its second outing, no more than easy hikes. Very disappointing that a Columbia hiking shoe could not finish its second hike without tearing apart. There are very similar pics on other reviews

Didn't get to try out on a trip but the fit was good.

Second pair of waterproof Redmond hikers. Very comfortable but have a serious design flaw. The Omni liner squeaks when walking. This happened on my previous pair as well. Columbia retail store acknowledged the issue but wouldn't help. Moving on to a better brand, who stands behind their product.
