Gave this jacket to my boyfriend for Christmas, he loved it upon first wear. After less than a month of wearing it occasionally, the seam connecting the jacket pocket zipper tore. I have been a life long Columbia fan and am very, very disappointed with this jacket.

the jacket zipper does not work well , Sewing is bad

I bought the dark red color. The jacket picked up grease stains very quickly just from rubbing against my skin (had already showered, so my skin was not oily). Also, the jacket is not very warm. I had a thermal shirt on underneath the coat in 20 degree weather and I was still pretty cold. Can't return the coat now that it's been worn, so that is unfortunate.

Not a bad jacket. Definitely warm but rather low tech as far as features and pockets go. The sizing is very weird but so are most Columbia products. This jacket has no check pocket for a wallet or electronics which seems like they cheaped out. The fit is super long and narrow. I normally wear a medium or large and this jacket fit in size small. It's a bit snug in the chest but the arms and body are too long. I plan to wear this under my ski she'll so now worries there. It was a pretty good value on sale.

I had the women's version of this for many years and it was my favorite jacket ever. I bought a replacement eventually and went up a size and everything was longer but it didn't have any more room in the waist, so I gave it away. I recently bought a men's M for my partner who wears a men's M comfortably in a different Columbia jacket, but this was too tight to connect the zipper even though it fit in the arms and at top. I'm afraid from my experience the L/XL will have longer arms but no more room elsewhere, so sadly we are looking for a different product. Seems to be made for a very slim shape and there's very little difference between sizes in the torso.
