I was happily surprised when I opened the package. But when I tried it on, I was very disappointed. I have an athletic build. This very nice jacket is designed for a slender build. I had to return it. Columbia issued a quick refund, thank you.

Based on the size chart I should have ordered a medium, so I did. I'm a perfect fit medium/ loose large. I barely got my arms in the coat and it was a good 3-4 inches from being able to close the jacket. This is why people get complexes about their size. I am returning this. I have ordered a large to see if it fits. If I doesn't, I won't be trying again. I scoured every review and took the leap, but I was hesitant to buy this because of all of the bad zipper reviews... well, I didn't even get to try the zipper, so I cant speak on that. I guess I probably should have went with a different one after this first experience. Lol

Don't buy Columbia coats.. I bought four of them and had to throw them out because the zippers broke. I would gladly pay more for the coats if the zipper improved. Until then I won't waste money buying Columbia coats

I love this jacket except for the fact that the rim (fur) on the hood continuously unbuttons itself, no matter what I do. Also, I really dislike the front pockets and the fact that there's none on the side to put your hands in. The pockets that are on the bottom/front aren't big enough to put items in AND your hands. If there were an extra set of pockets on the sides and the rim of the hood didn't unbotton constantly, I would give it 5 stars!
