This is such a solid shoes even for ankle height. It provides the snug support and a sole with teeth I need for the usually rocky terrain on my hiking paths. It provides the warmth needed while still being breathable so I'm not sweaty and damp - especially when the climate turns cold. I've already broken them in with plenty of use. I likie.
